DIY Herbalism & Dinner - June 19
The Summer Equinox brings into our kitchens and pantries new and exciting flavors to infuse and cook with. We will explore and demo an herbal finishing salt, a simple layered herbal health salad, cooling tea drinks and a refreshing aromatic spray. Participants also have the option to join for a multi-course dinner by The Broken Tulip, showcasing the early summer’s local produce.

Chef Emmanuel Baiden will be presenting a 4-course dinner illustrating the influence of African food on modern day cooking. Through the transatlantic slave trade 400 years ago, West Africans travelled the world bringing various foods and cooking techniques with them. Most of these have now been adopted by various chefs around the world. During this event you will learn through food how similar flavors have influenced modern day cooking.
